WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES

  • Define relationship intelligence, learn key skills to profit from conflict, and develop the ability to improve one’s sense of closeness with important others

  • Learn the basics of the developing brain – what fires together wires together

  • Gain critical insights about the neurobiology of distress and conflict, social cognition, affect regulation, resilience, and identity development

  • Understand the essentials of Relationship Intelligence (r/IQ), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB).

  • Discover and explore the basic building blocks and core components of Relationship Intelligence (r/IQ)

  • Appreciate the usefulness behind the phrase “low profile and high impact”

  • Review, observe, and practice r/IQ Nuts & Bolts skills; discover the power within you and move toward becoming the person you’ve always wanted to be inside important relationships

  • Refine listening, questioning, and conflict management skills

  • Manage escalating psychological dynamics and episodes of conflict while being true to your personality style and sense of self

  • Put it all together to become smart and savvy, and raise your relationship intelligence.
